The base map comes from OpenStreetMap (credited in our footer, ODbL license) plus reader submissions. On top of that we hand-verify shops one by one — see how verification works. We never invent ratings or hours: if we haven't confirmed something, the listing says so.

Each entry is researched from real sold listings — what things actually sell for, not what sellers ask. We publish a realistic range plus the factors that move an item up or down inside it. They're editorial estimates for the field and the booth, not formal appraisals.
No — we're a field guide, not a licensed appraiser. The photo ID tool will take a look at your item and point you to the right reference guide, and the price guide gives honest ranges. For insurance or estate purposes, hire a certified appraiser.
You drop in a photo, an AI describes what it sees — material, pattern, likely maker and era — and matches it against our reference and price guides. Photos are analyzed on the spot and not stored. It's a smart guess to get you started, not a verdict.

Submit it on the events page. Flea markets, estate sales, vintage fairs, record swaps — if it's worth setting an alarm for, we want it. Submissions are reviewed and published, usually within a day.
Yes. Wisconsin is home base and the most deeply curated, and we've expanded across the Midwest ring: Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, and Iowa. Verification rolls out state by state, Wisconsin-style.
Right now, mostly it doesn't — it's a labor of llama. Down the road you may see clearly-marked ads, affiliate links on price-guide entries, and featured store listings. Editorial calls (values, verification, who gets a spotlight) are never for sale.
