The 2026 Midwest Summer Antique Circuit
There's a rhythm to a Midwest summer if you know where to look: fairgrounds fill up with dealer trucks before dawn, small towns hang out their "world's greatest" banners, and somewhere between the kettle corn and the Depression glass, you find the thing you didn't know you needed. Here's the 2026 circuit, in the order the season hands it to you — so you can plan a Saturday, or plan a whole summer.
Every Saturday, through October 10 — Princeton, Wisconsin. The Princeton Flea Market calls itself the world's greatest, and with 180+ vendor spaces filling a tree-shaded city park every single Saturday, it has earned the swagger. It's the backbone of the Wisconsin season — go early, bring cash, wander the whole park. More Wisconsin shops are a short drive in any direction.
July 26 — Allegan, Michigan. The Allegan Antiques Market bills itself as Michigan's finest antique show, and the county fairgrounds back it up: hundreds of quality dealers, indoors and out, for a four-dollar bill. It's the anchor of the west-Michigan circuit — pair it with the lakeshore antique towns on our Michigan directory.
July 30 – August 2 — What Cheer, Iowa. If you only make one pilgrimage, make it this one. What Cheer's Collectors' Paradise Flea Market turns 50 this year, and for four days the Keokuk County Fairgrounds become the strangest, best-stocked place in Iowa. Gates open at seven and essentially never close. Bring a cart. See what else Iowa hides on the Iowa directory.
August 1–2 — St. Charles, Illinois. The Kane County Flea Market — "best in the Midwest or anywhere," by its own accounting — runs the first weekend of every month and lives up to the billing: hundreds of dealers, indoor and out, Saturday and Sunday both. If August doesn't fit, it comes back September 5–6. It's the gateway drug to the rest of the Illinois scene.
August 9 — a two-market day. Wisconsin and Illinois both deliver on the same Sunday. The Elkhorn Antique Flea Market takes over the Walworth County Fairgrounds (one of the biggest single-day shows in the region — it returns September 27 if you miss it), while three hours south, Sunday at Sandwich runs its second-Sunday market of antiques, vintage, and handmade at the historic Sandwich Fairgrounds. Pick your state and commit.
August 14–16 — Oronoco, Minnesota. Downtown Oronoco Gold Rush Days is 54 years old and still the crown jewel of the Minnesota season: 400-plus vendors filling an entire downtown, plus a classic car show, live music, and a duck derby, because Minnesota. Three days, and you'll want most of them. Base your trip off the Minnesota directory.
September 26–27 — Midland, Michigan. As the season cools, the Fall Midland Antique Festival brings one of the Midwest's largest indoor-and-outdoor shows to the Midland County Fairgrounds. It's a proper end-of-summer haul before everyone packs it in for winter.
October 10–11 — Grayslake, Illinois. The Grayslake Antique & Vintage Market at the Lake County Fairgrounds closes the outdoor season for Chicagoland — a two-day indoor/outdoor flea that's a fine excuse to spend the last warm weekend of the year digging through other people's history.
